Dr. Nitin Dalaya has been a pillar of psychiatric care and research since completing his MD in Psychiatry in 1993. With an impeccable career marked by versatile experiences, he has dedicated his life to improving mental health care, research, and education. He is a respected psychiatrist with degrees from B.J Medical College in Pune. For over 25 years, he's been dedicated to helping those with mental health challenges. Milestones & Achievements:

  • In 2002, Dr. Dalaya founded the esteemed “Nityanand Rehabilitation & Residential Mental Health Care Centre” in Pune, reflecting his commitment to patient care.
  • Expanding his vision, in 2008 he initiated “Nityanand Institute of Medical Sciences” at Pachane Gaon, Hinjewadi.
  • Under his leadership, both centers at Katraj and Hinjewadi today together accommodate over 300 inpatients, providing them with world-class mental healthcare.
  • Dr. Dalaya’s commitment to education has led him to be involved in the teaching and training of budding psychiatrists and psychologists.

Research & Clinical Trials:

  • Contributed as a research associate for a WHO-sponsored project, studying psychiatric morbidity in the affected population of Latur (1994-95).
  • Involved in extensive research on drugs including Paliperidone, RisperidoneConsta, Ziprasidone, Quetiapine, and Fluoxetine.
  • As the Principal Investigator (PI), Dr. Dalaya has been part of 11 clinical trials, including collaborations with top pharma giants like Pfizer, JnJ, Sun Pharma, Quintiles, Mcloeds. Notably, his research has majorly impacted studies related to schizophrenia, with 6 phase III and 5 phase IV trials. Currently, 3 phase IV trials are ongoing under his guidance.
